This web site was created to share with my family and friends the progress on what has become a very important project for me, the restoration of my Grandfather's 1958 Ford F100. Fred Brown, my grandfather bought this truck brand new on June 18, 1958 from his local Ford Dealer in Henryetta, Oklahoma six months before I was born.
Many of my earliest memories revolve around this truck. I remember going to town with Grandpa Brown in this truck, passing under the underpass pictured above and then going to the Safeway store where he got me some gum out of the gum machine. Grandpa Brown was a great adventurer and I remember riding in the back standing up and looking over the cab as he drove through the creek on his farm. After my grandfather's death my Dad purchased the truck from my grandmother and the memories continued. Dad never got rid of this truck probably because he associated it with his father and and then in turn he gave it to me in November of 2003. He died June 28 of 2004 and the legacy continues.
There are many other memories which are found on the "about us" page. Needless to say this truck is much more to me than the average restoration project and so I have chosen to do it as completely and accurately as are within my means.
I will update this page with my most recent progress so check back occassionaly to see "How's the truck is coming".
I am installing the steering column
